Facebook Is Suing Company for Running Deceptive Ads

Facebook is suing a company that has allegedly used cloaking for running deceptive advertisements. Cloaking is basically when the content seen by search engine is different from what users see when they open the page.

Software by ‘LeadCloak’, that is the name of the company, had been used to conceal sites containing fake information about the coronavirus and other topics. The lawsuit was filed against Basant Gajar who used ‘LeadClock’ to violate the platform’s policies.

According to Facebook, their software had been used on the platforms of other tech companies such as Google and Shopify.
