GIPHY is now a part of Facebook. The news has been announced earlier in May, and it seems like quite a logical outcome of the collaboration between the companies.
Traffic driven by Facebook’s app constitutes practically half of the whole amount of traffic on the platform. Facebook and IG users have been actively adding GIFs to their interactions and Stories.
The social media giant hasn’t spoken openly about the future plans of this acquisition, but we can surely expect expanded functionality for expressing emotions and attitudes on the platform.
