Google Expands Its Measures to Provide Ad Transparency
Now businesses have to submit their identification documents to Google and go through a verification program if they want to promote their offerings through the platform.
Before it was only required for election ads, but now the verification program has expanded in order to provide transparency to all advertisement on the platform.
It should be tough for Google to make a few million advertisers complete the process. According to Google, businesses will receive a notification saying that they have to submit their documents. Advertisers must reply within 30 days.
Multiple failings to finish the verification will result in their ads not running.
