Google Introduces Testing Ads for Games and Updated Asset Reporting

GDC couldn’t take place as planned due to the COVID-19 outbreak. So Google shared a list of updates for game developers in a post on its official blog. Here is a quick overview:

The platform rolls out open testing ads to help app developers find more testers. Beta testers will have apps tested for stability and user retention before they are officially released.

Google Ads will soon enable developers to monitor the dynamics in asset performance.

Google Analytics now allows observing the player’s movement through the lifecycle. The Engagement report now gives data on more metrics relevant for gaming apps. They include acquisition and retention, as well as engagement.
