Google temporarily froze its local review system during the COVID-19 outbreak. New reviews posted by consumers aren’t publishing live. The same goes for responses left by businesses.
Here, Google states that Google My Business functionality was to be temporarily limited due to the novel coronavirus. Besides the reviews, new Q&As are also going to be unavailable.
The coronavirus outbreak isn’t an easy time for businesses. Possibly, due to human resource limitations, Google seeks other ways another to protect businesses from malicious reviews that wouldn’t require human checkers.
