People Are Using LinkedIn Learning More during Pandemic
It looks like the massive coronavirus lockdowns gave a lot o people more time available for themselves. And some people are willing to spend this time on improving their skills and professional development.
According to LinkedIn, more people are turning to the platform’s Learning courses. The time spent on learning courses has seen a 3x increase. In April people spent 1,7 million hours, while in January the number was 560 thousand.
The reason for that could not just be the fact that an increased number of people have more time. Many people also lost their job or stopped working temporarily during the coronavirus outbreak, that could be the other contributing factor for the rising interest in professional development.
Besides that, LinkedIn made a lot of courses on its platform free which also could have impacted the larger demand for this kind of content.
