Snapchat Is Effective in Encouraging Young Audiences to Vote

Who would have known that Snapchat, an app especially popular among younger generations, could influence the outcome of the elections?

Two years ago, in 2018 more than 200,000 people voted through directly interacting with Snap’s campaign. Some of the ways to promote voting on the platform included introducing special stickers and filters.

Snapchat’s user base mainly consists of younger people, and any advertising efforts and campaigns targeting them will be particularly successful. So Snapchat is a perfect platform for motivating younger audiences to take part in upcoming elections. Especially if we consider the fact that it’s estimated that 70% of 18-24 year Snap users are going to vote. And for users aged from 25 to 34, this number is almost 90%. These statistics are based on the data from GlobalWebIndex.
