You might have noticed this one yourself.
Twitter is testing a new format of how advertisements are displayed for users. The platform is always experimenting with the way ads are shown to users in order to benefit both advertisers and users themselves, and improve their experience.
This new format, so far, means that you will probably see more advertisements in your feed. Promoted tweets will be shown more often than they were shown previously. It could have something to do with the facts that advertisers have not been very active when it comes to working with Twitter and other socials, in general, during the pandemic.
The advertising revenue on the platform has declined somehow significantly. You can find more details on that in the company’s Q1 report.
