WhatsApp’s Info Hub Seeks to Address Misuse of Platform during Coronavirus Outbreak

It was suspected that WhatsApp had been used for spreading false and unverified information. So its decision to create a Coronavirus Information Hub seemed pretty reasonable and necessary to address those concerns. The hub will be the space where users can find trustworthy information around the coronavirus.

The information hub provides information on how to choose sources of updates and how the app can be helpful for teachers and other users during the pandemic.

The misinformation on the platform still seems to be an on-going issue, and hopefully, the app will take more measures on this front.
