Recently, Animato carried out research about how people of different generations use social media and how it affects their buying decisions. According to Animato,3/4 of millennials agreed that company’s social media shape their opinion about whether they should do business with them or not. Their findings are also that people all across generations use social media platforms to engage with brands and find out about new companies.
YouTube, according to the survey, is one of the top used platforms for users of every generation. Gen Z spend more time than others on scrolling through the Instagram Feed, and they usually follow brands on this platform. The findings of the survey also suggest that video format is very important for many audiences, as it’s a factor that influences their buying decision.
